Who is Jesus?
Jesus is God's only Son. He came from Heaven to
earth to be born as a baby so that he could live like us. He came to
teach people about His Father in heaven and to do everything His Father
wanted Him to do.
Because Jesus is the Son of God, He was different to everyone else. He
never did anything wrong. He was never unkind. He never told a lie. He
never took anything that wasn't His. He was never naughty.
Wow, Imagine that! Have you ever done things that are wrong? I'm sure
the answer will be "Yes" because we all do things that are wrong.
We call doing bad things sin and sin puts a barrier between us and God.
Jesus knew that the only way that people could have their sin taken
away was if a perfect person took the punishment for everyone's sin.
Because Jesus died on the cross and took all the punishment for every
person in the world, we can now have a full friendship with God, just
as if we had never done anything wrong!
That is the wonderful gift Jesus offers to you - friendship with God.
Will you say "Yes"?
If you want to accept Jesus' gift for you simply talk to God by saying the following prayer.
First read it very slowly, and make sure you agree with it and mean everything it says, then say the pray to God:
Dear God.
I am sorry for all the bad things that I have said or done.
Thank you that your Son, Jesus, loves me so much that He took the
punishment for the wrong things that I have done. Thank you that He
died for me, so that I could be fully forgiven.
Please help me to live a life that makes you smile.
